Sterling-painted motor vessel (MV) ‘Seafaris’ has received top honours by wining "Best Super Yacht in the World" award for 2007.

As the exclusive importer and authorised representative for Sterling Paints in the Oceanic and South-East Asia regions, Scomar Distributors was approached to submit a complete luxury fair and paint system for the 41m vessel during its early planning stages.

As one of the world product leaders in luxury marine paint systems with more than 100 years of history, experience and development, Sterling was accepted as the coatings system to bring MV ‘Seafaris’ to life as the prestigious super yacht it was destined to be.

Reflecting Scomar’s commitment to exceeding customer expectation, National Sales and Technical Manager Scott Andrews tirelessly dedicated untold hours of hands-on service, advice and support to guarantee the success of the Sterling coatings system specified.   

Spanning a production period of more than two years, MV ‘Seafaris’ is a super yacht proud to boast the "100% Australian made and owned” tag, constructed in Newcastle Sydney then transported to Brisbane Queensland to complete fit-out, fairing and painting stages.

MV 'Seafaris’ was judged alongside a shortlist of five other finalists in the "Over 40m Super Yacht" category, for the prestigious World Super Yacht Awards hosted in Venice Italy during 2007.
